Hi, I’m Taylor Dickson. I write software, build databases, and pipeline data. I have experience with Unix and Mac OS system administration; and server virtualization with Docker.

I have family roots as settlers in Southern Ontario and I am currently living in Toronto, Canada, the traditional lands of the Wendake-Nionwentsïo, Mississauga, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Anishinabewaki, and the Haudenosaunee. My home office is supervised by my two cats, Butters and Apollo.

Outside of work, I enjoy building and running my own homelab server; a docker stack on OpenSuse, running Plex, Homebridge, GitTea, Firefox Sync Service, and network services. I also have a passion for video games. From competitive shooters like Battlefield and Overwatch, to open world games like Sea of Thieves, to strategic games like Rimworld.

I am also an avid baker and cyclist. Biking around Toronto is one of my favourite ways to experience the city and keep active. I pride myself in doing my own maintenance and am currently overhauling a 90’s mountain bike.
